One of the UK’s largest glass processing companies has taken delivery of a custom built Giardina Group glass roller coating finishing line from Schuberts.
The line, with a fantastic working width of anywhere between 700mm and 2200mm, is designed for a full colour range of ceramic coatings.
The line consists of an end AND side infeed roller conveyor, with pop up rollers.
Roller coating machine G02 is mounted on floor rails and wheels for easy removal out of the line. It also has rollers top and bottom (not belts) to ensure the perfect application thickness of coatings. There is also the self cleaning washing equipment for quick colour changing.
The roller conveyor utilises a lexan hinged hood for flash-off and the inspection of coating before the drying tunnel.
The drying and cooling sections has electric infrared, recirculated air and venting water vapour to atmosphere. Again, with hinged sections to access the internals of the tunnels.
An out feed roller section and an automatic lift station take the coated glass into the vertical position.
