Schuberts have installed a bespoke finishing and curing system into a new advanced manufacturing composite technologies pre-production research and development facility.
There is significant current activity in developing technology and capacity for the manufacture of composite aero engine parts and Schuberts have delivered a new system to coat these components.
The spray enclosure, flash-off and curing is all temperature and humidity controlled filtered air, with a full anthropomorphic robot coating each piece with absolute precision. Gas catalytic infrared does the curing of the coatings. Any personnel access is controlled through clean room airlock doors.
All controls are through Dualcon 6 controllers, HMI touchscreens and monitored by a full SCADA system for datalogging.
